Commissioned in 2004 by Offsets, an Abu Dhabi government investment body, Clive Bowen designed the FIA-CiK approved Category A 1.2km kart circuit and an FIM sanctioned Motocross circuit as part of a combined leisure, education and resort complex around the Abu Dhabi International Shooting Club. Construction commenced in September 2006 and the circuits should be operational in early 2010.
