Apex Circuit Design and Motorsport Asia to work together

Apex Circuit Design Ltd (‘Apex’) have had strong links with Motorsport Asia Ltd (‘MAL’) for many years and today established a Memorandum of Understanding between the two companies to work together on future motorsport projects in the Far East.

Motorsport Asia Ltd. (‘MAL’), the commercial rights holders and event organisers for the Asian Festival of Speed, the largest racing series in the Far East, was founded in 1996 by David Sonenscher. David has a wealth of experience in all aspects of motorsport as a driver, team manager and as a series organiser and promoter. As the leading fully integrated motorsport focused company in the region, MAL is on the cutting edge of developments in the motorsport business through its extensive network of events, venues, teams, sponsors, influence and know-how. With this in mind, Apex has teamed with MAL to develop new circuits in countries in the Far East.

Apex is an internationally recognised motorsport circuit design and land development consultancy, established in 2001 by Clive Bowen. The primary business of Apex is the design of FIA, FIM and CIK approved racing facilities, working in association with world-class architects, engineering consultants and land developers to create commercially viable motorsport destinations; this area of expertise fits perfectly with MAL’s motorsport, commercial and operational expertise in the Far East.

Clive Bowen, Managing Director of Apex, today said: ‘David Sonenscher and Motorsport Asia have the greatest reach within Far Eastern Motorsport and run a respected and ever-growing series. We’re so pleased to be able to bring this growth and high quality motorsport to our new projects to further develop motor racing in the region’.

David Sonenscher, CEO Motorsport Asia Ltd., responded by saying: ‘Clive Bowen has, with his successful circuit designs all over the world, proved that motorsport can be economically viable and credible so long as it is part of something bigger. Clive combines that other commercial work with Motorsport and our clients recognise this approach as the only sensible route towards developing motorsport in Asia’.
