Apex supports ‘Engineering Your Future’ at Oxford Brookes University

Apex Circuit Design Ltd, the internationally recognised motorsport circuit design and land planning consultancy, will be one of four engineering companies supporting a new student initiative in conjunction with Oxford Brookes University on January 23th 2008.

Engineering Your Future (EYF) is an engineering careers awareness day which is aimed at year 12 students studying maths and science at A-Level and provides an insight into exciting careers in engineering and explains how to become an engineer. Apex will host workshops throughout the day, which will give the students a hands-on opportunity to assess plans for integrated motor racing developments, combining motorsport design, engineering infrastructure, commercial/retail and residential elements. The sessions will aim to highlight the engineering and commercial challenges faced when designing a world class motor racing facility.

Clive Bowen, Managing Director of Apex Circuit Design Ltd., today said; “Engineering as a subject offers incredible career opportunities and we are proud to be associated with any initiative which nurtures our future young engineers and look forward to be involved with the Engineering Your Future initiative”

Apex Circuit Design Ltd. is responsible for some of the most interesting new race circuits internationally, with the Dubai Autodrome, the Hampton Downs Circuit (NZL), Iceland MotoPark, Alabama Motorsports Park and Silverstone redevelopment among its many projects.

The event will be held in the Technology Building at Oxford Brookes University, Wheatley Campus.
