PMC in New York, April 2010

Clive Bowen, the Founding Director of Apex Circuit Design, is to speak at the Professional Motorsport Circuit Owners investors and Suppliers Forum North America in April. The two day event is hosted at the Javits Convention Center in New York. Bowen will ask delegates 'Should you build a motorsport road course or an entertainment destination?' To answer this question Bowen will present a case study and discuss the considerations necessary to create not just a commercially viable road course but also a thriving commercial and entertainment destination.

"Motor racing road courses, though glamorous and exciting, are often marginal investments despite offering an ideal opportunity to attract visitors. Land permitting, a road course can act as the anchor development for a synergic mix of commercial uses including leisure, retail, residential and light industrial" he explains. "I will look at how race circuit designers and developers might best utilize or develop the land surrounding a road course to provide stable revenue streams for the circuit owners and returns for investors."

The event takes place on April 27th & 28th at the Javits Convention Center in New York. For more information please visit http://www.professionalmotorsportcircuit-forum.com/na
