Tilke enjoys driving on an Apex designed circuit

Hermann TilkeWell known race circuit designer Hermann Tilke has poured plaudits on the layout of the Dubai Autodrome after he took part in a GT race there. The German architect said of the Clive Bowen designed circuit "It is very tricky and I like it very much, because it is not easy. Really I am very happy to be here and enjoy the technical nature of Dubai Autodrome." He concluded with a laugh, "Only regret I have is that we did not design it."

The FIA Category 1 circuit was designed by Bowen to meet Formula 1 requirements and opened in late 2004. It immediatley attracted comments about its challenging nature and how it is a 'drivers circuit'.
