Russia to host round of FIA GT World Championship in 2010


Eurasia Autodrome sign FIA GT dealRussia will host its first FIA GT World Championship in 2010 it was announced at the end of season FIA GT awards ceremony in Monaco.

Eurasia CITY has been given exclusive rights to play host to the FIA GT World Championship in Russia from 2010 through 2012, which was sealed by an Agreement between FIA GT President Stephane Ratel and Eurasia CITY Chairman Artur Trofimov.

Stephane Ratel, Artur Trofimov and Max MosleyLooking back FIA GT has named the opening of San Luis Circuit the key event of the past year and another momentous happening for thrilling car racing lovers is expected in 2010 when Eurasia–Autodrome–Domodedovo will open its gates and host Russia’s first FIA GT World Championship. As agreed, other FIA GT rounds can also be held by other race circuits in Russia that are currently in design or under construction.

Eurasia – Autodrome –Domodedovo is a unique motor sports facility that, combined with a professional FIA-compliant race circuit, will offer spectator opportunities and VIP hospitality, open track days for sports cars owners, master-classes and corporate events. The Project investment  exceeds 1.5 billion rubles.

Eurasia CITY, LLC is one of the leading large-scale real estate projects developers in Russia. Its flagship development project, the satellite city of Konstantinovo, will be built 11 km from Moscow and 10 km from Domodedovo International Airport to become home to over 150,000 residents.  The masterplan provides for construction of over 6.5 million sqm of residential and 2.6 of commercial use on 3,000 hectares. By 2015 the new city will create over 60,000 new jobs. The project investment will be up to 375 bln rubles.

FIA GT (Grand Touring) is one of the most prestigious and spectacular sports car championships in the world with races held in the best race circuits of Great Britain, Germany, Italy,  France, Belgium, Czech Republic, Hungary, Brazil and Argentina.  Over 12 car brands, including Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, BMW, Porsche, Audi, Nissan, Jaguar, Aston Martin, Ford, Corvette and other, are expected to participate in the Championship.
