Steve Jarvis

Steve JarvisSteve Jarvis is a graduate of the University of Nottingham where he attained an M.Eng in Civil Engineering in 2000. He has over 7 years experience of working on major highway schemes designed to UK DMRB and Australian RPDM standards at tender, detailed design and construction site supervision stage on projects ranging in value from £500,000 to £1billion. He is a Member of the Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation.

Steve initially undertook graduate training with Mott MacDonald's Highways Division where he was responsible for horizontal and vertical highway alignment design, the design of highway drainage and pollution control systems and earthworks and structures modeling on a number of high profile major improvement schemes procured by the Highways Agency via Design and Build and Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) contract models. He was design team leader on a project for the design of a vehicle test track procured by MIRA for a private client in South East Asia. In 2007 Steve worked for Maunsell Australia Pty Ltd in Brisbane, Australia as an alignment designer on road and rail projects in South East Queensland.

Steve joined the Apex team in early 2008 as both a Civil Engineer and Senior Design Engineer and brings with him a wealth of road design experience which he has put to use on race circuit designs including Eastern Creek International Raceway (Sydney), Eurasia Autodrome Domodedovo (Moscow), the Bahrain International Kart Circuit, the Flins-Les Mureaux Formula 1 Grand Prix circuit (France) and a number of international race circuit feasibility studies.

Away from the office, Steve enjoys watching and playing a variety of sports and is an Intermediate International-level qualified lacrosse referee and is also the Referees' Secretary for the South of England Men’s Lacrosse Association (SEMLA). He is a keen motorcyclist and has attended two California Superbike School days at Rockingham Motor Speedway, UK.
