Brian Pallett

Apex-Brian-PallettBrian Pallett, 53, has spent 22 years as a professional in the motorsport industry and is internationally regarded as one of the most experienced race circuit operators.

Brian originally began his career in an engineering background, serving an apprenticeship with Lucas Group and continuing to work with them as a service engineer and UK service manager for 10 years.

Brian’s passion for motorsport soon developed after spending time as a volunteer marshal at Silverstone Grand Prix circuit. Brian’s knowledge of the sport and management skills were soon recognised and in 1987 he was appointed with a full time role as circuit manager.  Brian went on to spend 16 years at Silverstone, eventually departing as Operations Director in 2003. During his time at Silverstone Brian was responsible for managing the day to day maintenance of the circuit and 800 acre estate, the set up and breakdown of major events including the British Formula One Grand Prix, liaison with FOM and F1 team principles, liaison with local parish councils surrounding the site and site safety. Brian also became a member of the British Grand Prix Organising committee.

In 2003 Brian’s experience was utilised in the development of a new motor racing facility in the Middle East; the Dubai Autodrome.  Brian was appointed as the Operations Advisor to oversee all start up issues and operational procedures alongside circuit designer Clive Bowen for the new FIA category 1 facility before handing over the facility to the client for future operation.

From 2004 to 2007 Brian was the Managing Director of Donington Park Leisure Ltd. During his time at Donington Park, Brian was responsible for hosting the annual British Motorcycle Grand Prix and overseeing the design, construction and delivery of a new race control building with a value of £5m.

Since departing Donington Park, Brian has acted as a consultant to 2 further international motorsport venues, Rockingham Motor Speedway and the Eurasia Autodrome Domodedovo, Moscow offering advice on operational issues, staffing, medical procedures and the design of new motorsport buildings.
